Salami Day is September 7 and that gives the Hermann Wurst Haus yet another reason to celebrate!
Salami is a cured, fermented and air-dried sausage and quite popular here at the Wurst Haus.
Our salamis are made with lean pork, seasonings, spices, and added red wine, naturally aged for a minimum of 38 1/2 days for a dry, meaty, subtle flavor.
Wurstmeister Mike's Peppered Soppressata is the real deal. Serve with your favorite cheese, crackers and Wurst beer, like Steamboat Smoked Ale. Our Steamboat Smoked Ale is also best served at slightly warmer temperatures, like a fine dry red wine at 54-57 degrees.
Here's some of our other great tasting salami products:
Elk Salami - Elk with added pork, delicately added spices, robust hickory hardwood smoke equals champion quality salami.
Finocchiona - Dry Cured Italian Salami - Old world Italian salami with pork, seasonings, spices, added fennel and added black peppercorns. Great for snacks with cheese and crackers. Shelf stable, no refridgeration required.
Soppressata - Dry Cured Italian Salami - Another old world Italian Salami, dry cured, naturally aged for flavor enhancement, with pork, seasonings, spices, and added red wine, great for camping, hiking, biking, hunting, bird or whale watching.
