Mild scrapple
My wife and I are from southern Ohio where a product called goetta is sold. They are similar in that they both combine pork and grain, but there are significant differences. Goetta is made with ground or finely chopped pork and steel cut oats, while scrapple is made with cornmeal and the texture is more suggestive of pulled pork. To our taste scrapple is pretty bland, while goetta is more heavily seasoned with onion, sage, garlic, bay leaf and pepper (among others). It could be great scrapple, we really enjoyed trying it, but I think we will stick with our home goetta recipe going forward.

Pork Scrapple - Must Try!
First time purchase...far exceeded expectations. Delicious flavor profile. I fried both thin and thicker slices. One of the best versions in my opinion.
