Missouri's Share the Harvest Program

Thanks to all the hunters who donated ground venison to the area food pantries. Hermann Wurst Haus was happy to help contribute processing to this very successful, worthy program.
Missouri's Share the Harvest program helps deer hunters donate surplus venison to Missourians in need. According to the Missouri Conservation Department, since the program was started in 1992, Share the Harvest has provided more than 3.5 million pounds of venison.
Donating is easy, just take your venison to an aprroved meat processor and tell the processor how much venison you want to donate to the program. The processor will package the meat, which will be picked up by local sponsoring organizations and taken to a charitable agency for distribution.
Through Share the Harvest, Missouri hunters can help provide those in need with high-quality, naturally lean, protein rich deer meat.
