July is National Bison Month at the Hermann Wurst Haus

July is National Bison Month! The Hermann Wurst Haus has always been a big fan of bison meat since it is delicious and healthy.
Bison trivia:
On August 23, 1804, in South Dakota, Lewis and Clark feasted on their first buffalo. While traveling through the Great Plains the Bison provided an excellent food source for the men. Each man ate about nine pounds of meat a day, according to www.LewisAndClarkTrail.com.
There's nothing quite as all-American as a bison burger or steak sizzling on the grill. And bison meat is just pretty darn tasty, a lean, high protein meat.
In honor of this month long tribute to bison, we will offer specials on 10 oz. Bison Rib Eye Steaks and Bison Burger (3 patties to pound).
