Try a bacon- themed party menu at home for your family, friends, and neighbors.
Take 4 different flavors of bacon, spread onto a cooking sheet, slide into the oven at 350 degrees for about 18 minutes or until crisp and cut into bite size pieces for appetizers. Choose from our Grand Champion Hickory Smoked Bacon, Apple Maple Bacon, Pecan Smoked Bacon, Peppered Bacon, Bourbon Pepper Bacon, and our Sun-Dried Tomato & Basil Bacon.
Do not forget to save some bacon for the Smoky Bloody Mary's.
Smoky Bloody Mary Recipe
6 slices Wurst Haus Peppered Bacon
3 & 1/4 cups tomato juice
1 & 1/4 cups bacon-flavored vodka (or regular vodka)
1/3 cup fresh lemon juice (from about 3 lemons)
1 tablespoon horseradish
2 teaspoons chipotle hot sauce
2 teaspoons Worcestershire sauce
1/2 teaspoon celery salt
Freshly ground pepper
6 stalks celery with leaves
1. Cook the bacon in a large skillet over medium heat, turning occasionally, until golden brown and crisp, 9-11 minutes. Drain on paper towels.
2. Meanwhile, combine the tomato juice, vodka, lemon juice, horseradish, hot sauce, Worcestershire sauce, celery salt and 1/2 teaspoon pepper in a pitcher; refrigerate until ready to serve.
3. Pour Bloody Mary mixture into 6 large ice-filled glasses. Add a piece of bacon and a celery stalk to each.
