May 13 is National Apple Pie Day!  You can't get much more American than Apple Pie.

According to a survey by the American Pie Council, Americans' favorite pie is apple, chocolate pie and pumpkin tie for second and cherry places third.

Apple pie facts:

Apple pie wasn't invented in the United States, is was invented in Europe in the 14th century.  The first apple pie recipe was printed by Geoffrey Chaucer in 1381 in England.
